Adolescent Anger Management is a particular focus and specialty of the Anger Management Institute.   A.M.I. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Recognize the role of individual responsibility in
    changing their unacceptable behavior.
  • Utilize a working understanding of anger/stress
    patterns and responses. 
  • Identify and manage “situational anger” thereby
    avoiding angry responses and aggressive behavior. 
  • Eliminate or minimize person-directed aggression
  • Learn how to prevent confrontations and incorporate
    new coping skills to handle stress, and other negative
    feelings. 
  • Employ communication skills and listening techniques
    to enhance interpersonal relationships.
  • Recognize the mood of persons with whom they must
    interact, and respond in a manor that will to improve
    rather than impede positive interactions.
implements the Anderson & Anderson Anger Management curriculum for adolescents. The program is designed to help young adults
 recognize and normalize anger. One of A.M.I.’s goals is to teach acceptable ways of expressing anger. A better understanding of self, will allow participants to better control anger, which may in the past, have lead to violent outburst. Participants will learn strategies for managing stress, improving emotional intelligence and communication skills, in order to become better listeners and communicators
